GHH Fahrzeuge Goes for Future

(POPUP opens)During this years inter airport Europe fair GHH Fahrzeuge, the well-known manufacturer for towbarless aircraft towing tractors, have announced a next step of improvement of their strategy in covering more services to the customer. GHH Fahrzeuge has combined their sales and service activities with their partner for the Far East market, Weihai Guangtai Airport Equipment Co. Ltd. from China. The new established sales and service company for the European market, GSE Europe GmbH, will be responsible for all customer related activities of both companies. The guiding principle of the company is to offer modern and reliable technique for favourable conditions. The launching of this new company took place during the inter airport fair on Wednesday, 7th October. In advance to this official declaration GSE Europe succeeded in selling an 18ton towbar tractor to Airbus Industries (Hamburg site). The tractor will be delivered to Airbus Hamburg beginning of December 2009. A first customers’ acceptance test at manufacturers’ site was performed successfully.

(POPUP opens)During the inter airport fair GSE Europe, together with GHH Fahrzeuge and Weihai Guangtai exhibited some of their latest developments for aircraft servicing and handling. GHH Fahrzeuge presented an improvement of the well-known towbarless pushback tractor AM110. The new cabin of the AM110 is designed now for bi-directional operation. So equipped with a two direction operating cockpit, for an each direction operation of the driver, which enables optimum comfort during use in pushback and towing. This feature corresponds to the procedures laid down in chapter 9 AMM. The AM110 is equipped with a Deutz Diesel engine of COM / TIER 3 standard, corresponding to the latest environmental regulations for exhaust emissions.

(POPUP opens)For conventional aircraft handling a new designed towbar tractor TT15, with a tractive force 120kN, suitable for handling aircraft up to 150ton maximum taxiing weight was shown. This tractor incorporates the state-of the-art technology, e.g. Deutz Diesel engine TIER 3 standard, Kessler axles, Clark / Dana powershift transmission, four wheel steering and as well as four wheel drive, comfortable drivers’ cabin with air conditioning system. Additionally a baggage conveyor belt loader, model BL8000, was exhibited capable to serve aircraft up to a loading height of approx. 4.3m.
